Scientist I, Protein/Antibody Engineering & Immunoassay Development

Akrivis is currently seeking a dedicated, motivated candidate holding a Ph.D. to fill the full-time position of Scientist I for its protein/antibody engineering and immunoassay development activities. The Scientist I will perform experiments as directed by his/her direct supervisor and as part of a team effort. He/she should be able to communicate efficiently with his/her supervisor and team members, prepare detailed lab notebook records, participate and present his/her experimental results during group meetings. The ideal candidate will be expected to work mainly in the fields of biochemistry, molecular biology, protein engineering and immunoassay development for in vitro and in vivo applications. This position is located at Akrivis’ R&D facility in Salem, Massachusetts.
- Ph.D. required in pharmaceutical sciences, biomedical engineering, protein engineering, biochemistry or molecular biology with at least 2 years of industrial or post-doctoral experience
- Must have hands-on experience with bio-conjugation/engineering of proteins, especially antibodies: labeling with proteins/enzymes/fluorophores, purification (tangential flow filtration, affinity/size exclusion/ion exchange HPLC, etc), characterization (SDS-PAGE, etc) and formulation (sterilization, stabilization, etc)
- Required extensive expertise with immunoassays and assay development: ELISA, WB, lateral flow, IHC/ICC, IHF/ICF, flow cytometry, etc
