As regulated by the FDA, Research-Use-Only (RUO) assay kits are limited to pre-clinical or non-clinical settings, must be labeled as such, and are not to be used for clinical, diagnostic or therapeutic applications in humans.


In Vitro Research Kits

Several in vitro research kits are currently in development.  The product line of Z-TECT™ High Sensitivity In Vitro Research Kits will include secondary kits (anti-species and anti-tag) as well as antigen-specific kits developed for the following applications: ELISA, Western blot (WB), magnetic beads (MB), lateral flow (LF), immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunocytochemistry (ICC), immunofluorescence (IF) and flow cytometry (FC); and following signal types: colorimetric, chemiluminescence and fluorescence (including near infrared, NIR).


Custom Kit Development Services

Akrivis is currently offering Custom Kit Development Services for the design and optimization of RUO in vitro and in vivo research kits for the high sensitivity detection of targeted analytes.  Such custom kits are based on the Z-TECT™ technology platform but incorporate the customer's chosen targeting agents such as antibodies, antibody fragments, antibody mimetics, proteins, peptides, etc with the customer's desired signal type.
